Start with the tutorial
Gametime walks you through your first game in short chapters: passing, running, defense and special teams. You can replay any chapter later from Settings, so skip ahead whenever you feel ready.
Pick a difficulty that fits
Easy gives you a little extra help, Normal is the standard game, Hard is for players who want a challenge, and Dynamic adjusts as you play. You can change it between games.
Passing: read, then throw
Look for the open-receiver cue before you throw, and tap your target to deliver the ball. Hot routes let you change a receiver's route at the line when you see a better look.
Running: find the lane
Be patient behind your blockers, then hit the gap. On longer runs, look for the sideline and protect the ball in traffic.
Defense: control one player
On defense you choose which defender you control. Your player is marked on the field so you always know where you are. Take a good pursuit angle rather than running straight at the ball carrier.
Special teams and the halftime show
Kickoffs, punts and returns are live. For field goals, swipe through the uprights and watch the wind. At halftime, the desk crew breaks down the first half — a good moment to adjust your plan.
Between games
Choose Arcade, Standard or Full management to decide how much of the franchise or program you want to run. Arcade keeps things quick; Full gives you the whole offseason.
